The mental images, sensations and impressions created when reading these quotes leave the bounds of language. Though most input about the world comes to us through language, there is still that which words leave out. Language contains forms or shapes which stand separate from their semantic function. We are interested in how form and medium construct and dissolve meaning. Does a thought have an ideal shape most suited to its transmission? How to separate form from medium so the form could be used in a medium originally foreign to it? What message does a medium carry in its simplest shape? For a question, is the primary concern the answer or the shape that structures it? Is an inability to put something into words a lack or something else entirely?
