Scrapyard is a performance serie of Lo-Fi music shows. The aim of which is to have a mixture of DIY and Lo-Fi music, with contemporary classical music.
During these events, we employ many different aspects of performance art, technology and media. A complete interdisciplinary experience.
Scrapyard 2.0 features works that imply movement. Movement here used not only as a manifestation of concept or ideas, but as means of manipulation of the sound-world.
The program includes the following pieces (not in the performance order)
Wings, by Cathy Van Eck (for big white shields, one loudspeaker, 3 microphones and 3 performers)
3 unlikely corporate sponsorship, by Mark Applebaum
b, by Simon Löffler (for neon lights and a loose jack)
Shoe’badeH, by Arash Yazdani (for 3 musicians with slide-whistles and flexatones)
Pre-composition, by Marck Applebaum
Steel String Quartet, by Alessandro Perini (for 4 amplified swings)
