The SOLO+ concerts are part of the international ERASMUS+ BIP project, in which 25 students from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and 6 partner universities (Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla-La Mancha, Conservatorio di Musica “F. A. Bonporti” in Trento and Riva del Garda, Conservatorio di Musica “Luigi Canepa” in Sassari, Conservatorio Superior de Música de Málaga, National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, and the Norwegian Academy of Music).

The concert that takes place in Kanuti Gildi SAAL will feature six solo works performed by six soloists. All works have been written specifically for this project, and in the week leading up to the concert, the composers and soloists will meet at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where they will collaborate to refine the works for the concert performance.

“Solo” in the title refers directly to the solo works, and the “+” signifies the project’s interdisciplinary nature—that is, in each piece, the music is accompanied by another medium selected by the composer and performer together.
