The crumpled, uneven landscapes of memoryscapes carry us from one place to another. My memories of what has been are different from yours. And even in that very moment, I wasn’t sure that we understood everything the same.
“What shade is the colour white” is a performance created together with the visually impaired community, emerging through shared presence, space, sound, and movement. It invites you to listen, sense, and experience it in your own way.
This playful and sensory performance opens up space for different modes of perception — offering an opportunity to experience movement beyond sight and to rethink the nature of dance.
Lemoot kompanii is a dance and performing arts collective founded in the summer of 2020 by sisters Johhanna Anett and Helle Mari Toomel.
Their work moves across three interconnected directions: dance classes and training for adults, the creation of performances, and ceramics. In this project, dance and ceramics meet - one sister working as the director, the other as a visual artist.
Their aim is to create distinctive works that resonate both emotionally and aesthetically. They are drawn to the absurdity of life, to speaking about love, and to gently pointing toward the fractures within our society. At the heart of their practice is a desire for simplicity — work that moves from one person to another.
Lõunatera is a part of Terateater based in Tartu, who have been working together since the previous season. Under the guidance of Jaanika Juhanson, their last season led them to a short-form work that brought together text and movement. This year, they have turned toward a longer performance format - one that opens itself more fully to the audience.
Lõunatera is a warm and homely, yet passionate and dedicated group of people, who believe that differences on stage are not divisions, but a source of richness.
